I am PS Forward. I joined Gloucestershire Police in 2010 and have worked in a variety of different departments but returned to Stroud in a new role within the Neighbourhood Policing team in 2024. I enjoy working as part of a team to help resolve issues that exist with the communities.

Hello, I’m PCSO Francis the local Community Support Officer for Nailsworth, Horsley and Woodchester. I initially joined Gloucestershire Constabulary in 2018 as an Administrator for the volunteering department then began my role as a PCSO in 2021. I have established multiple links within the community by providing a visible and approachable presence alongside working with other partner agencies to keep the area safe. Ongoing concerns regarding visitor behaviour around the lakes, including open water swimming, unauthorised BBQs, lighting of fires, and large group gatherings.
Action taken:
- Work in partnership with multi-agency stakeholders (e.g. National Trust, local authority, community safety partners) to address identified risks.
- Review and install clear, visible safety signage highlighting hazards around lake areas.
- Increase staff/ranger or patrol presence during peak times where possible.
- Deliver public safety awareness messaging to encourage responsible behaviour around open water. -
Priority:
To ensure Retail Crime within the area is taken seriously and support is given to local businesses.
Repeat Offenders will be prosecuted and issued with Criminal Behaviour Orders where appropriate.Action taken:
The local policing team are prioritising and targeting prolific offenders with criminal prosecutions and ABC contracts. When offenders are also committing ASB in the local community, we are also working with Stroud District Council and neighbouring NPT officers on a multi-dimensional approach to solve both issues in conjunction with each other.
