Sgt Francis joined the Constabulary in 2008 and spent the majority of her first 12 years on Front Line Response in Gloucester. She then spent two years in the public protection unit, as part of the child exploitation team, dealing with the most vulnerable young people in the community through intervention and a lot of collaborative working with partner agencies.
She was Promoted in 2023 and has been with the Tewkesbury Neighbourhood Team ever since, using her skills and experience from front line Policing and the Child Exploitation Team. She has a passion for youth intervention and working in Partnership to tackle ASB within the Community.
Since 2014, Sgt Francis has been a Family Liaison Officer (when an Officer is the link between the Police and a Family, after a tragic incident for example:- Death by dangerous driving) and now coordinates the deployment of the County’s FLOS. It is a very difficult job at times, under such tragic circumstances but Sgt Francis is committed to this role, to help support families at the most tragic times of their lives.
Sgt Francis enjoys the proactive side of Neighbourhood policing, and believes in Partnership working to protect the most vulnerable members of our community.
