They threatened the victim with a knife

The victim was taken to hospital with a head injury and suspected broken ankle

Retail Crime:
To ensure Retail Crime within the area is taken seriously and support is given to local businesses.
Repeat Offenders will be prosecuted and issued with Criminal Behaviour Orders where appropriate.

Neighbourhood Policing Team officers and our partner Solace Stroud team are working very closely together to tackle the ongoing retail crimes. We are engaging with local retailers in the area to encourage them to report incidents so we can take appropriate action on individual offenders. We have also been encouraging new retailers to become members of the Stroud Safe Scheme.
Recently due to the reporting from our local retailers and proactive patrolling from local Neighbourhood Policing Team, we have had good court order result on several prolific offenders.
Several CBO (Criminal Behaviour Orders) and ASBI (Civil Injunctions) been implemented on individual known prolific offenders.
Recently Operation ASH been put in place in the areas, so daily routinely patrols and engagement with retailers are taking place to reduce Retail Crimes.
We have begun to fully review retail theft across the Stroud District and will be working more closely with our partners to plan for target hardening of shops and other stores, alongside actively reviewing all CCTV and evidence opportunities

Reduce Anti-Social Behaviour:
To reduce all forms of anti-social behaviour within the area including begging, aggressive behaviour, street drinking and criminal damage.

Neighbourhood Policing Team are actively patrolling on all hotspot areas. We are working very closely with Stroud council reference to street Drinking- PSPO (Public Space Protection Order) in the area
We are engaging with individuals who are constantly causing ASB in the area to help and support individuals to engage with local services for support. We have also implemented with the support from Stroud SOLACE to get Criminal Behaviour Orders and Civil Injunction on individuals who choose not to get the support. In total, we have 13 x Civil Injunction and 2x Criminal Behaviour Orders in place.

Speeding raised as a Stroud District level and so officer within the NHP will make every effort to tackle speeding offences across the district.
