To encourage the community to engage with their Local Neighbourhood Policing Team.

The Local Neighbourhood Policing Team are encouraging the community to sign up to the Community Alert Scheme, which is a great means to get direct information from the Local Team and our Crime Prevention Team including Neighbourhood Watch. Please contact the Local Team if you wish to sign up and follow the team on our social media Facebook page.

To work within the community to improve access to policing services, ensuring residents can easily seek advice, support and assistance with issues affecting them.

Through regular engagement we aim to address community concerns and provide reassurance to those who need it most. Please ensure you keep an eye out for community events being published and come and speak to us.

The Peel Centre being a predominantly retail environment, they suffer from a high-level of shop theft. Alongside the thefts businesses also suffer with ASB linked to this activity.

The Local Neighbourhood Policing Team are taking a proactive and visible approach to tackling shoplifting at The Peel Centre. This includes regular high visibility patrols and working closely with shop staff and security teams to share real time intelligence and targeting known offenders through partnership operations. We’re also encouraging businesses to report all incidents so we can identify patterns and respond quickly. By combining prevention, partnership, and enforcement, we’re aiming to reduce thefts and create a safer, more confident shopping environment for everyone.
