The Quays is experiencing Youth Anti Social Behaviour (ASB). With issues involving noise, harassment, alarm and distress being evidenced at stores and in public places.

Our aim is to use a multi-agency approach to deal with the youths by looking at the deeper issues. Collating intelligence, deterring them from the location through Neighbourhood patrols and legislation. This will ensure that youths that continue to persist in ASB will be managed robustly.

The gated streets and Station Road are experiencing a rise in the public drinking of alcohol that is linked to Antisocial Behaviour.

Carry out Robust Enforcement of the Public Spaces Protection Order in place for Gloucester City Centre, which prohibits public drinking of alcohol. Using a multi-faceted approach, the priority is to reduce the public drinking of alcohol that cause Antisocial Behaviour and street crime and support vulnerable individuals, to access the support services available. Targeted patrols in the area continue to take place by the Local Neighbourhood Team.

Crimes against businesses has not only a financial impact on the business but the cost is passed on the customers. Shoplifting is a national priority and we aim to tackle this by reducing offences against businesses and increasing detection rates
