Targeted policing of violent individuals causing multiple issues in the town through violence and alcohol.

One ring leader has recently been charged with a serious assault offence and the Neighbourhood Policing Team are looking to collate and take ownership of incidents where these targeted individuals are suspected. Proactive orders being pursued to target prolific offenders - work ongoing.

Reducing youth-related antisocial behaviour in and around the town, including the areas of the Abbey Grounds, St. Michael’s Park and Watermoor in particular

Proactive patrols of these areas continue on a daily basis, along with concentrated periods of patrols and visibility. Taking every opportunity to engage with park users. Ongoing communication with the town council is in place to ensure information is up-to-date and we’re looking at ways to subtly change the design of these areas to identify and take action against offenders. Further targetted patrols to continue in February.
