I began my policing career fresh out of university, in Nottinghamshire. It’s the best job in the world so I’ve stayed for 27 years and counting! I transferred to Gloucestershire at the start of 2025, and am responsible for the neighbourhood policing team that covers the Cotswolds.
.My name is Sarah Robinson and I am the Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant for Cirencester and Bourton on the Water.
I joined the Police in 2009 in another force area and have worked in various roles including the Police Marine Unit, Investigation Teams and Organised Crime. More recently I transferred to Gloucestershire Constabulary in 2020 where I have predominantly worked in Neighbourhood Policing.
I am passionate about my role within Neighbourhood Policing and am committed to leading the Cotswolds team to deliver the best service to your communities.
I have been a Police Officer since 2009 spending my entire service policing in the Cotswolds. I have also lived in the Cotswolds for most of my life and I do love it.
I was fortunate to be part of the Schoolbeat team since it started in 2018, and in 2025 we developed into Youth Engagement Officers, and I still cover the Cotswolds area!
I thoroughly enjoy the role, the positive relationships with youths that have been built we are developing further, and I remain fully motivated for this new varied challenge.
I strongly believe that we are breaking down barriers and gaining the trust and respect of the young people in our communities.
After joining Gloucestershire Police in 2008, I spent 13 years working as part of the response team covering mainly Cirencester and Stow on the Wold, but I also spent three years working response in Cheltenham and Gloucester. Four years ago I moved into Neighbourhood Policing following a decision to use my time in that role to try and focus on youth issues, with an intention to try and steer young people away from crime. I like the variety of work Neighbourhood Policing brings and enjoy the relationships that are created in the community.
Before joining Gloucestershire Constabulary I worked for the Ministry of Defence. I’ve policed in Cirencester for many years now. I enjoy the autonomy that Neighbourhood Policing allows in that we get to act on community priorities in a proactive way, targeting the offenders who cause the most harm to the community. Dab hand with a drone and aspiring film director.
I am a PCSO working in Cirencester. I enjoy the variety that it provides and connecting with the community.
I joined Gloucestershire Constabulary in 2012 starting my career in Stroud reception. Six months later I became a neighbourhood PCSO in Cirencester where I have built relationships within the community and working alongside different organisations. I enjoy the challenges and variety of work that a PCSO role offers and no two days are the same!!
