Appeal to identify teenage victim of sexual assault in Gloucester

Police are appealing for a teenage girl to come forward after it was reported a man sexually assaulted her in Gloucester yesterday (Sunday 27 September).

It was reported that an unknown man had touched two girls on the waist and bottom without their consent. This took place on Station Road in the city at around 6.45pm.

Officers attended and searched the area and located the first girl, however the second girl, who is believed to have been called Ella, had left and they are now working to identify her and find out what happened.

A man aged in his 20s and of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on a female in connection with the incident.

He has been interviewed and was released on bail with conditions not to enter the city centre and to attend Bearland Police Station on Friday (2 October).

Investigating officers are asking Ella, or anyone who knows her, to come forward so that her welfare can be checked and the investigation can progress.
