Man dies following collision near Westonbirt earlier this week

A man has died following a collision near Westonbirt in the Cotswolds earlier this week.

Emergency services were called to a report of a two-vehicle collision on the A433 Bath Road at around 10.15am on Tuesday (13 October).

The collision involved a blue Mini Countryman and a black Skoda Fabia.

The driver of the Skoda, an 89-year-old man from Bristol, was taken to Southmead Hospital to be treated for his injuries but died the following day (14 October).

A man in his 30s, who was driving the Mini, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with minor injuries and later released.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dashcam footage and has not yet spoken to police to contact them.
