Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a report a man assaulted another man in a suspected road rage incident in Gloucester.
The incident took place following a minor collision which involved a light-coloured BMW and a silver BMW 3 Series saloon on Hempsted Lane near the junction with Saint Ann Way and Hobbs Way.
Following the collision, the driver of the light-coloured BMW is then reported to have left his car and approached the driver of the silver BMW 3 Series saloon, who was also out of his vehicle, and headbutted him in the face.
The suspect then got back into his vehicle and drove off.
The victim, a man aged in his 50s, sustained a fracture to his nose and required treatment at hospital.
Investigating officers would now like to identify the driver of the light-coloured BMW and would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault, which happened at around 9pm on Sunday 30 August.
They would also like to speak to anyone who saw the two vehicles being driven prior to the collision.
Anyone who has dashcam footage which they believe to be relevant is also asked to get in touch.
