Armed Response following incident near school in Tuffley, Gloucester

There is a large police presence in Tuffley, Gloucester following an incident near a school this morning (Friday 6 November).

We were called shortly after 8.50am with a report of an altercation on Chalford Road, near to St Peter’s High School, and a male was seen in possession of a long-bladed item.

One boy sustained minor injuries and has been taken to hospital to be assessed, and at this time no other injuries have been reported to police.

Those involved fled the area and police, including armed officers, are searching for them.

It is understood that there is currently no ongoing threat at the school and pupils are safe within the school grounds, and therefore parents are asked not to attend the premises at this time.

We will provide more information once in a position to do so.
