A man has died following a collision on the M5 yesterday (Wednesday 6 May) and police are appealing for witnesses.
Emergency services were called at around 12.20pm with a report that a white Luton Van had collided with a Volkswagen Transporter and come off the northbound carriageway near to junction 9 for Tewkesbury.
The driver of the van, a man aged in his 30s and from Warwickshire, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The occupants of the Volkswagen Transporter were not seriously injured.
The M5 northbound carriageway was closed between junctions 11 and 9 while emergency services responded to the incident and to allow a collision investigation to take place.
The motorway was reopened earlier this morning (Thursday) and officers would like to thank motorists for their patience and co-operation during the closure.
Investigating officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, saw either vehicle prior to the collision, or has any relevant dashcam footage to get in contact.
