A closure is currently in place on the northbound carriageway of the M5 following a serious collision this afternoon (Wednesday 6 May).
Police were called at around 12.20pm with a report of a two vehicle collision near to junction 9 for Tewkesbury.
A closure has been put into place between junctions 11 and 9 northbound while emergency services remain at the scene.
These are expected to remain in place for a number of hours with motorists asked to plan their route in advance and avoid the area.
