Police investigating a serious assault in Gloucester have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
Officers were called to Eastgate Street at around 3.40am yesterday (14 May) following a report a man had assaulted another man by The Cross.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
A forensic examination of the scene has taken place and investigating officers have conducted a number of enquiries since the incident, including a review of CCTV footage.
They have now released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident and are asking for information from the public which could assist the investigation.
Anyone who recognises the man pictured, who was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, a grey beanie hat and had a bike with him, is urged to get in touch with police.
