A man has died following a collision in Ampney St Peter last night (Thursday 25 June) and officers are appealing for information.
Police were called at around 6.55pm with a report that a black BMW S 1000 RR Sport motorbike had collided with a wall outside the Red Lion pub on London Road.
Emergency services attended and the rider of the motorbike, a man aged in his 50s and from Swindon, was treated by paramedics at the scene but passed away from his injuries. His next of kin has been informed.
The pillion passenger of the motorbike, a man aged in his late teens and also from Swindon, was assessed by paramedics and taken to Great Western Hospital in Swindon for treatment to serious injuries.
Several roads between Ampney St Peter and Poulton were closed while a collision investigation took place and have since reopened.
Investigating officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has any relevant dashcam footage to get in conact.
