Officers are appealing for witnesses after a teenage pedestrian was injured during a collision in Cheltenham.
Police were contacted at around midnight on Sunday 24 May with a report that a 17-year-old boy had been involved in a collision with the driver of a silver Volkswagen Polo.
This took place on the A435 Cheltenham to Bishop's Cleeve Cycleway near to the junction for Finlay Way.
Members of the public stopped to help the teenager before he was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment to a suspected broken ankle.
The driver of the Volkswagen failed to stop to check on the welfare of the teenager or to provide details and continued on their journey.
Officers are now asking the driver of the Volkswagen to make contact and give an account of what happened.
As well as this, they are asking anyone who witnessed a vehicle driving in suspicious circumstances or erratically and anyone who has dashcam footage to come forward.
