A road closure has been put into place after a motorcyclist was seriously injured during a collision in Gloucester.
Police were called shortly after 3.35pm today (Friday 17 July) with a report that the rider of a motorbike had been found injured and was believed to have been involved in a collision.
The rider of the motorbike, a man aged in his 50s, was airlifted to Southmead Hospital for treatment to serious injuries where he remains at this time.
Painswick Road has been closed between the Eastern Avenue roundabout and Chequers Road to allow a collision investigation to take place.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened, saw an off road scrambler style motorbike riding along Painswick Road before the collision or who has dashcam footage they feel is relevant.
