Man jailed for supplying Class A and B drugs to people living in Cheltenham

A man has been jailed for supplying Class A and B drugs to people living in Cheltenham.

Thomas Blomer, aged 37 and of Wimborne Close in Up Hatherley was sentenced to three years and four months imprisonment after pleading guilty to drugs offences.

The court heard how officers from the Neighbourhood Support Team executed a drugs warrant at an address linked to Blomer after developing intelligence that he had been dealing drugs.

During a search of the bedroom where Blomer was detained, police discovered 76.5 grams of cocaine hydrochloride, a combined 28 grams of MDMA and ketamine and 128 grams of cannabis with a combined value of £9,980.

Blomer was subsequently arrested on suspicion of being in possession of Class A and B drugs with intent to supply.

An iPhone was seized from Blomer’s bed where he was sat whilst being detained and 18 text conversations were later found. These evidenced that Blomer had been selling controlled drugs between November 2022 and November 2024.

Officers went on to obtain production orders from Blomer's bank accounts after discovering that the text conversations showed him telling buyers to transfer money to his bank account.

This once again supported that evidence that Blomer was dealing drugs and he was later postal charged with the following offences:
•    Being concerned in the supply of cocaine
•    Being concerned in the supply of a class B drug
•    Being concerned in the supply of ecstacy
•    Possession with intent to supply cocaine
•    Possession with intent to supply MDMA
•    Possession with intent to supply cannabis
•    Two counts of possession with intent to supply a class B drug
 
Blomer appeared at court on a later date and pleaded guilty to all of the charges.

As well as being jailed, it was ordered that all drugs and drug-related paraphernalia belonging to Blomer would be forfeited and destroyed. 

Blomer was also ordered to forfeit £270 under Section 27 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. 

A spokesperson for the Cheltenham and Tewkesbury Local Policing Area said: "We are glad that Blomer has been taken off the streets and is no longer able to impact our local communities by dealing drugs.

"This case is just another example of how tirelessly we are working to disrupt those who think they can deal drugs here in Gloucestershire."
