The family of a man who died following a collision on the A417 earlier this month have paid a heartfelt tribute to him.
Emergency services were called to the A417 Birdlip bypass at around 9.40am on Sunday 1 February with a report of a collision involving a car transporter and Honda Civic.
Rudis Rafael Lara de Los Santos, aged 46 and from Gloucester, had been driving the Honda Civic and sustained serious injuries. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His family have now issued a tribute in memory of Rudis saying: "With deep sorrow, we say goodbye to Rudis Rafael Lara de Los Santos, a man whose life was defined by love, responsibility and dedication to his family.
“Rudis was a devoted husband, a loving father and a generous person. He worked hard to provide stability and care for his family, and his greatest pride was his children, whom he loved unconditionally.
“His passing leaves an immense void in our hearts, but also a legacy of love and strength that will live on in all who knew him.
“Rest in peace. You will always be in our hearts.”
Investigating officers are continuing their enquiries and asking anyone who witnessed the collision and who has not already spoken to police to come forward.
Additionally, they would like to hear from anyone with dashcam or any information they feel may be relevant.
