A woman has died following a collision in the Forest of Dean earlier this week and police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.
Police were called at 4.55pm on Wednesday (22 April) with a report of a collision on the A4136 Mireystock Crossroads in Lydbrook.
The collision involved a grey Moto Guzzi motorcycle and a white Nissan dropside lorry.
Emergency services attended and despite the best efforts of those who were there, the passenger of the motorcycle, a woman aged in her 70s, was declared dead at the scene.
Her family has been informed and are being supported by a specially trained officer.
The rider of the motorcycle, a man aged in his 70s, was taken to hospital and he remains there for treatment. An account will be taken from him once he is fit to be spoken to by officers.
The driver of the Nissan was physically uninjured.
Several roads were closed while a collision investigation took place and these have since reopened.
Investigating officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has any relevant dashcam footage to get in contact.
