Police were called by the ambulance service at around 8.50am on Monday 16 March with a report of a collision on Prestbury Road, near to the junction with Whaddon Road.
The incident involved a woman who was riding a bicycle and a bus which was being driven by a man.
Emergency services attended and the woman, aged in her 30s, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with serious injuries, before being transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
The woman remained in hospital for treatment and died from her injuries on Tuesday evening (7 April). Her family are now being supported by specially trained officers.
The bus driver was not physically injured and there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the collision.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are continuing to investigate what happened and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
They are also keen to hear from anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage which they believe to be relevant.
