Appeal after man arrested on suspicion of exposing his penis to girl in Stroud

A man has been arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure and police are appealing for witnesses, dashcam and doorbell footage as part of their investigation.

It was reported that between 6.45pm and 7pm on Tuesday 7 April a man exposed his penis to a 14-year-old girl on Folly Lane in Stroud.

The man then started to follow the girl down the lane but stopped and turned around when he saw another man approaching.

The suspect then got into a black Peugeot and as he was driving away, a witness was able to take a photo of the vehicle's registration plate.

Officers traced the vehicle to a man, and on Sunday 12 April a 22-year-old man who lives in Gloucester was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure. 

He was released on bail pending further enquiries.

Enquiries are ongoing and investigating officers are now asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam or doorbell footage to get in touch.
