Police have arrested two men after spotting a car being driven in the Forest of Dean shortly after it had been reported as stolen.
Thieves were reported to have taken a Peugeot 107 from outside a property in Newnham in the early hours of Sunday morning (3 November).
Shortly afterwards, it was spotted by officers being driven on the A40 heading towards Gloucester.
They followed it to St Oswalds Retail Park in the city, where it was safely stopped.
A man in his 30s from Sedbury was arrested on suspicion of burglary. A second man, also in his 30s and from Newnham, was arrested on suspicion of burglary and driving when over the legal limit for alcohol.
They have been bailed with conditions to remain at their home addresses overnight. The car was seized and investigations are continuing,
