· CREATING SAFE SPACES IN PARTIUCLAR FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS
Operation Ash provides high visibility patrols in areas with over 300hrs conducted in February. The Night Angels are now embedded within the Night Time Economy (along with various other partners). The Angels are there to provide support, safeguarding and sign posting to women and girls and will conduct regular high visibility patrols in areas identified through the safer spaces online reporting tool.
· TACKLING ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR (ASB)
Operation Ash remains throughout the City with hot spot locations being patrolled daily thanks to home office funding specifically to tackle ASB. Multi Agency Problem Solving meetings occur weekly where repeat perpetrators are discussed and signposted accordingly. There have been over 300hrs worth of patrols conducted in hot spot areas in the month of February.
PD (Police Dog) Ollie and PC Shields remains committed to providing high visibility patrols throughout Gloucester combatting ASB.
· RETAIL CRIME
Over the last 12 months we have seen a 10.7% increase in Shoplifting offences being reported here in Gloucester.
Over the last 2 months (Jan/Feb 25), 68 offences have been closed of which 51 have been showed as having a positive outcome, this is where the perpetrator is held accountable for their actions (eg community resolution, conditional caution, charge etc) - a positive outcome rate of 75%
Over the last 12 months Business Burglary offences have increased by 1.61%. The positive outcome rate has increased by 115. 4% with 56 offences showing a positive outcome compared to 26 the year before.
The Constabulary will continue to work with partners to tackle retail crime.
