Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision involving a pedestrian and a car in Cheltenham last night (Friday 17 December).
Emergency services were called to the junction of Lansdown Road and Lansdown Parade at around 10.50pm.
A 32-year-old man from Bishops Cleeve sustained serious head injuries after being involved in the collision with a Toyota Prius. He has been taken to Southmead Hospital, Bristol, where he sadly died of his injuries.
The driver of the Prius, a 42-year-old man from Cheltenham, has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
Lansdown Road currently remains closed while investigation work is carried out and drivers are advised to find alternative routes.
Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to police or has dashcam footage to please get in contact.
