Car owners in Newent are being warned to be vigilant following a number of catalytic converter thefts over the last week.
Four were stolen from vehicles in the town last weekend (Friday 27 to Sunday 29 November).
Vehicles have been targeted overnight on driveways and on public roads where offenders have cut away the catalytic converters. Police believe Honda and Mazda cars are the primary targets.
Officers will be conducting patrols in the area and anyone who sees suspicious activity taking place is encouraged to report this to police.
