Emergency services were called to a report of a four-vehicle collision in Gloucester on Wednesday afternoon (2 November).
The collision happened at around 3.45pm on Tewkesbury Road, Norton. It involved a red Vauxhall Crossland, a silver Mini Cooper, a silver Audi A1 and a grey Mercedes A200.
Paramedics checked all those involved at the scene. One woman was taken to Southmead Hospital where she is understood to be in a serious but stable condition. A man was also taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with serious injuries. The two injured people were both in the Vauxhall.
The road was closed for 11 hours before being reopened shortly after 3am.
Investigating officers would like to speak to anybody who may have witnessed the collision or who has dashcam footage, but who has not already spoken to police.
