Officers are appealing for witnesses after a woman was hit by a car on Falkner Street, Gloucester in the evening of Thursday 18 June.
At around 11.30pm police were called with a report a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle described as a dark coloured Volkswagen Passat sport 18 registration plate which was driving in the Midland Road area.
The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance for head injuries which were not life threatening.
The driver initially stopped and spoke to the woman, but then left without leaving his contact details.
The driver has been described as being in his late 20s, tall, was wearing white glasses and possibly Asian.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the description of the man or vehicle is asked to please contact police on 101 quoting incident 489 of 18 June.
