We're reminding shoppers to be vigilant of those around them after a woman aged in her 80s had her purse stolen from her handbag while shopping in Cirencester last week.
The woman was shopping in a charity shop on Castle Street at around 11am on Wednesday 3 May when she noticed that her purse, which contained cash and bank cards, had been stolen.
An employee of the shop said they had seen a man acting suspiciously around the time of the theft.
Officers are asking anyone with information to submit this by completing the following online form and quoting incident 168 of 3 May: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/
Please be wary of who is around you when using your card and pin number, keep your bag closed and with you at all times, rather than attaching it to a shopping trolley as thieves are opportunistic.
