Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted in a Newent pub toilets last week.
The incident took place in the toilets of the George Hotel, Newent on Wednesday 7 July at around 10pm during the England versus Denmark football game.
The victim, a man in his 20s, sustained serious injuries after an unknown number of suspects followed him into the toilets and seriously assaulted him.
He received treatment at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and has since been discharged.
Investigating officers are keen to speak to any potential witnesses who saw the assault take place or were at the pub at that time.
The George Hotel is assisting police with the ongoing investigation.
