A man aged in his 70s required hospital treatment after being bitten by a dog in Cheltenham and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
At around 6.30pm on Monday (2 December) a man had been walking down Suffolk Parade when a dog, described as being a Rottweiler-type dog, bit his arm causing wounds.
The dog was on a chain and was being walked by a woman who also had a small white dog on a lead. She had tried to get the dog off the man and then walked in the direction of The Beehive pub with the dogs.
The woman has been described as of a slim build with dark hair and was wearing leggings and police are keen to speak with her.
Anyone who has information about the incident, or the dog walker, is asked to please call police on 101 and reference incident 414 of 2 December.
