Police are investigating the death of a four-month-old infant from Newent who had been admitted to hospital on Sunday 12 April.
The infant was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on Easter Sunday in a serious condition and was subsequently transported to Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
She remained in hospital and died on Saturday 18 April.
Today, Wednesday 22 April, two people have been arrested in connection with the investigation into her death and remain in police custody.
Update (Thursday 23 April): Two people who had been arrested yesterday, Wednesday 22 April, in connection with an investigation into the death of a four-month-old girl have been released on police bail.
They were both bailed with conditions to return to a police station on 20 May.
