Police issued a CCTV appeal to identify a man who officers wanted to speak to in connection with a report a man had raped a woman in Gloucester on Friday 26 August.
Following the appeal, a 28-year-old man from Gloucester was arrested on suspicion of rape.
Anyone who feels they may have information which could assist the ongoing investigation is still asked to contact police.
The incident happened in bushes near the Gulf petrol station off Horton Road in the city between 8pm and 8.40pm.
A man had met the victim at the bus station before they walked to the Horton Road area, where he raped her and fled.
