A man has been arrested in connection with an incident in Gloucester Quays this evening after another man sustained wounds.
Police were called shortly after 7.15pm today, Monday 20 March, with a report a man who was inside The Gym Group on Llanthony Road had been stabbed.
Emergency services attended and the victim, aged in his 20s, was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol by paramedics for treatment. He remains there in a stable condition.
A 28-year-old man from Gloucester was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and is in police custody.
Officers remain at the scene while enquiries are ongoing.
