Police are appealing for witnesses following a single-vehicle collision involving a black moped in the Forest of Dean earlier this month.
The incident happened shortly before 7pm on Thursday 16 June, close to Compton Green Business Park on Redmarley Road, Newent.
The rider, a man in his 70s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Southmead Hospital where he currently remains.
Investigating officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have seen the moped being ridden prior to the incident to come forward.
They would also like to speak to anyone who may have dash-cam footage.
