Police are warning party-goers in Forest of Dean to cancel their plans this weekend or face being fined.
Officers have received reports that a party has been planned over the weekend.
The gathering would contravene new Government guidelines aiming to stop the spread of Covid, which limit numbers to six people or fewer.
Patrols will be taking place around the area throughout the weekend to ensure that no gatherings are taking place.
Inspector Nick Cook said that anyone with information about the party should contact police.
He added: “If you see any large groups of people gathering in the woods or parks on Friday or Saturday night, please call us so we can manage the situation appropriately.
“Anyone who is caught attending gatherings which involve more than six people will risk being given a fine for their actions.
“We know how frustrating this has been for many people but we all have a role to play in the fight against coronavirus. Please do help us as we do all we can to protect one another.”
