Family members have paid tribute to a man who has died in hospital following a collision at a hilltop viewpoint in Birdlip last month.
Paul Davis was taken to Southmead Hospital after his vehicle left the road at Barrow Wake car park on Thursday 22 April.
He died of his injuries at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on Saturday (15 May).
The 65-year-old, from Cheltenham, leaves five brothers and sisters, two children and five grandchildren. An avid Cheltenham Town and Chelsea football supporter, he had worked for Spirax Sarco for 40 years before retiring three years ago.
His family said: “Paul was a lovely, genuine man and loved by all who knew him. He was kind and would do anything for anyone. He will be greatly missed.”
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at around midday on Thursday 22 April.
The car is described as being a Silver Suzuki Alto. Investigating officers spoke to members of the public at the scene but are asking anyone who they have not yet spoken to and witnessed the incident to contact them.
