Detectives are investigating after three masked men assaulted an elderly couple in their Gloucester home last night, Friday 17 February.
Police were called to a report of a suspected aggravated burglary in Stroud Road at around 8.45pm.
The men, who were wearing balaclavas, entered the property and then assaulted the couple before untidily searching the house.
The couple have been treated for their injuries, which are not believed to be serious, and police remain at the address today.
Officers are now urging anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time, but who has not yet spoken to police, to come forward. They would also like to hear from anyone who has CCTV or dash cam footage which they believe could be relevant.
Anybody with information is asked to contact Gloucestershire Constabulary through the website, quoting incident 454 of 17 February: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/us/a-crime-that-has-already-been-reported/
