Cheltenham murder investigation update - victim named

Police investigating the murder of woman from Cheltenham have named the victim, with permission from her family, as 47-year-old Michelle O’Neill.
Michelle’s family has requested privacy at this time to allow them to grieve in peace.
The thoughts of Gloucestershire Constabulary are with her family at this difficult time.
A man who was arrested on suspicion of murder remains in custody. Officers were granted a further 36-hour custody extension this evening, Wednesday 16 March.
