Officers investigating the assault of a man in Cheltenham earlier this month have issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
A 26 year-old man sustained a fractured jaw in the attack which happened on the junction of Regent Street and Ormond Place just before 1am on Saturday 2 December.
It was reported that the victim had been talking to his friend when two men came up behind them and one of them punched him in the face.
The victim was left bleeding from his face and has needed multiple surgeries to fix a fractured jaw.
Investigating officers have conducted a number of enquiries since the assault but are yet to identify the man pictured and are now asking for information from the public.
Anyone who recognises the man pictured or may have witnessed what happened is asked to contact police online by completing the following form and quoting incident 17 of 2 December: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/
Alternatively you can submit information anonymously to the independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or online at https://crimestoppers-uk.org/
