Officers discovered the plants being grown in a disused primary school in Tredworth last month (Friday 29 July).
The large commercial operation covered eight rooms across three storeys. A total of 1,700 plants and 500 seedlings, as well as extensive industrial level equipment, was recovered from the building.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
