Officers are appealing for witnesses after a nesting swan had sticks and rocks thrown at it in Cirencester on Sunday evening (28 June).
Police received a report that a group of teenagers had been seen attacking a large nesting swan on the pond in the Abbey Grounds in the early evening.
The swan was not believed to have been injured and a member of the public disturbed the group of teenagers.
The group are described as including both boys and girls, all white and aged around 14 to 15 years old.
