Police are appealing for a cyclist who may have seen a robbery in Cheltenham to come forward.
Officers are investigating a report that a robbery took place at a shop in Hester's Way Road at around 6.15am today (Tuesday 15 August).
A man carrying a hammer entered the store and smashed the till before taking a quantity of money.
He then left the area in a white van, believed to be a Ford Transit Courier, which headed in the direction of Princess Elizabeth Way.
The man was described as being white and of a slim build. He was wearing a black hooded top, black jogging bottoms and black shoes, with white gloves and a black face covering.
Officers would like to speak to a pedal cyclist who was in the area at the time of the offence who they believe may have information which could assist the investigation.
The cyclist, or anybody else who may have details which could help, is asked to contact Gloucestershire Constabulary through the website, quoting incident 61 of 15 August: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/us/a-crime-that-has-already-been-reported/
