Police are appealing for witnesses after a report that a man was assaulting a woman in Stroud town centre on Friday night, 17 November.
Officers were called to London Road shortly after 9pm with a report that a man was assaulting a woman against a wall close to Papa John's. He then made off from the scene before police arrived.
A number of people are believed to have been in the area at the time and may have seen the incident. Officers are now appealing for them to come forward.

A 33-year-old man from London has since been charged with assault by beating and is due to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court today (Monday).
