Officers are appealing for information after a suspicious incident was reported last night in Cheltenham.
At around 8.10pm yesterday (Thursday 22 September) a man reported to police that a group of young people had approached him to say a teenage girl had been pulled into a vehicle in Gwernant Road at the junction with Alma Road.
Officers identified and spoke to the children who witnessed the incident and carried out a full search of the area last night.
The witnesses reported seeing four people in a grey BMW stop and pull a teenage girl into the vehicle before driving away erratically and heading along Alma Road towards the Lansdown Road area.
Vehicle checks were made in the area and numerous enquiries have been carried out today.
The girl is not believed to be someone who has been reported missing in the county so police are now asking the public for any information that may help identify her or those in the vehicle.
