Officers are appealing for information after a man suffered a head injury during an assault in Cheltenham last night (Saturday 30 September).
The man was attacked in Orchard Way between 7pm and 7.30pm.
He was treated by ambulance staff but fortunately the head wound was not deemed to be serious.
Officers want to track down a group of males who have been linked to the incident.
The victim was walking with a friend along Princess Elizabeth Way towards Kingsmead Road when they were approached and chased by the group.
The victim ran onto Orchard Way, where the assault happened, and his friend was chased towards Coronation Square.
