A man from London is due to appear at Gloucester Crown Court tomorrow (Tuesday 16 June) after being charged in connection with a high value courier fraud scam.
Foysol Ahmed, aged 37 and from Islington in London, is alleged to have imitated a police officer in order to convince a woman into buying gold bullions to the value of over £1 million pounds.
Ahmed has been charged with one count of committing fraud in that you dishonestly made a false representation, namely imitating a police officer, intending to cause loss to another or expose that person to risk of loss” – Contrary to sections 1 and 2 of the Fraud Act 2006.
The charge relates to fraudulent activity which took place between 31 October 2025 and 28 April 2026.
