Officers are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious collision which involved a bus and a bicycle in Cheltenham this morning, Monday 16 March.
Police were called by the ambulance service at around 8.50am with a report of a collision on Prestbury Road, near to the junction with Whaddon Road.
The incident involved a woman who was riding a bicycle and a bus which was being driven by a man.
Emergency services attended and the woman, aged in her 30s, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with serious injuries, before being transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
The bus driver was not physically injured and there were no passengers on the bus.
Road closures are in place on Prestbury Road at the junction with Whaddon Road, and these are expected to remain for most of the day.
Police attended and spoke to witnesses at the scene. Officers are keen to hear from anyone else who has not already spoken to them.
They also want to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage which may be of relevance.
