Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man robbed another man in Gloucester city centre this morning (Friday 23 January).
At around 7.20am police were called with a report of an incident on Southgate Street near to Paddy Power, where a man was holding another man down on the floor.
The suspect then ran from the scene towards Longsmith Street car park, and officers attended and searched for him.
A 30-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident.
The victim's wallet and mobile phone were stolen during the incident, and these have not been located yet.
It is understood that those involved are known to each other, and police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident and has not already spoken to officers.
