Road closure following multi-vehicle collision on the A417

A stretch of the A417 is closed following a multi-vehicle collision this afternoon (Friday 12 September).

Police were called just before 4pm with a report of a five vehicle collision in Birdlip.

The road is currently blocked between the Air Balloon roundabout and Nettleton Bottom while emergency services remain at the scene.

Those involved in the collision are not believed to have sustained any serious injuries.

Motorists are asked to plan their route in advance and avoid the area if possible.
